Some members of Team Reign Management are planning to go on a two-mile “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” along the Jersey Shore for the Alzheimer’s Association of New Jersey. Ken, our firm’s President, is taking his family and two team members, Rob and Joe. So far, the Alzheimer’s Association has raised almost $85,000, and with some more time between now and the event we’re sure they’ll reach their desired goal of $250,000.
The Walk is the largest of its kind in the country for raising awareness and funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s. It’s held annually in over 600 towns and cities across the U.S., with proceeds going toward care, research, and support for those affected by this disease.
Alzheimer’s is the only leading cause of death in the U.S. that cannot be prevented, cured, or even slowed. More than five million Americans are currently living with it, and there are an estimated 16 million caregivers currently tending to patients with some form of dementia. In 2018 alone, Alzheimer’s will cost the US over 277 billion dollars.
Getting involved with worthy causes is more than just a good idea; it’s a way for us to live out our Reign Management values. For example, we value leadership on our team, and by supporting the Alzheimer’s Association, we show that we are leaders in the community and the fight against this disease.
We’re grateful to Ken, his family, and Rob and Joe for taking part in this event. To see which causes we support next, check out our Reign Management Newswire feed.
